The College Chaplain provides pastoral care for students across the College. The chaplain is a person for young people to connect with; someone who provides a listening ear, a caring presence and a message of hope.
Our Chaplain engages with the students across Prep to Year 12 and assists at times of need. The role of our Chaplain also includes:
running positive, fun activities for young people and fostering a supportive, caring College community
working with members of the College support team to care for students
fostering partnerships between the College, local churches, businesses and community organisations to provide a network of local support and assistance for students
attending College camps, activities and school events
providing non-denominational, spiritual direction to the College community.
At the end of 2016 our wonderful school chappy, Jendy made the decision to return to classroom and music teaching one of her other passions. We are thankful for everything that Chappy Jendy did during her time as SU Qld school chaplain.
North Lakes State College is currently undertaking a selection and recruitment process for a new Chaplain for 2017.
