North Lakes State College welcomes all students to our 10-12 Campus (Little Burke Street). This is seen as the start of the Senior Phase of Learning and encompasses a variety of study options to cater for all students.
Students undertaking their Senior Phase of Learning at North Lakes State College do so with the opportunity to utilise our trade and industry standard learning environments. This includes our technologies workshops for Engineering, Industrial Graphics and Furnishing subjects and courses. Our hospitality workshops also encompass a restaurant and formal dining area whilst our science labs and business rooms have separate learning areas to run simulation activities.
It is the College's belief that students direct their own learning journey. Our students can develop and mould their senior phase to best access these unique opportunities afforded through TAFE, School Based Apprenticeships/Traineeships, University Study and other registered training programs. This is in addition to the variety of subjects delivered at North Lakes State College, including our Vocational & Education Training (VET) programs.
The Senior Schooling Team closely monitor the progress of all students throughout the Senior Phase of Learning. This includes students regularly reviewing their own results and academic progress. We support students to work towards their career and study pathway through the help of a large network of internal and external staff; including – Heads of Department, Guidance Officer, local universities and study providers.
