Emerdore (Primary Rescue - 1st place State Champions) - Emerson, Theo

Tormentors (Primary Rescue - 2nd place) - Zac

Our Roboclub members represented the College at the Queensland State Robocup competition on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August at the University of Queensland. The students competed in each of their divisions with great sportsmanship, dedication and perseverance.
Congratulations to all of our members.  Teams that have placed in the finals of their division will be offered the opportunity to represent the College at the national Robocup competition held in Adelaide in September.
Special congratulations go to the following teams:
Robobros placed 2nd overall in their Primary Dance Division. For all of these students it was their first year in the robotics club. Their dance performance was very entertaining and their interview was very informative.
3 Little Pigs minus 1 placed 1st overall in their Secondary Dance Division.  Their performance was commended by many of the audience members as being very engaging and creative.  Their use of voice-overs enhanced their robotic storytelling.
Emerdore placed 1st overall in the Primary Rescue Division.  Their robot design was very stable and their programming resulted in a consistent performance on the day.  They had rounds of perfect scores in their rescue missions.
Tormentors placed 2nd overall in the Primary Rescue Division.  They repeatedly achieved high scores in their rescue rounds and made some successful rescues.
The Hipster 3 achieved a placing in the finals round for their Open Rescue Division. They are also our first North Lakes State College team to compete in the Soccer Division. - Alison Taylor, Leanne  Mills, Janessa Divitini, Emma Dean
